Welcome to the Terrordome #25 “The Exorcist”

Here is 1973’s “The Exorcist”.

Please allow me to share my thoughts.

  • She’s possessed.
  • The Devil is real.
  • Father Karras (Jason Miler) didn’t deserve his fate; but, he is more of a man than anyone else in film because of his sacrifice.
  • Max Von Sydow was a powerful actor. This film, along with “The Virgin Spring” sealed his icon status.
  • The movie is still scary as hell.
  • I have yet to see the “spider walk” version aired on television.
  • Forty years later, this movie is on the top of horror lists worldwide and it’s well-earned.
  • “The Exorcist” remains paramount in the history of horror film.

Enough said.

10 out of 10 (Regans)

Fun Facts About “The Exorcist”: 1) It spawned two sequels (Skip the first one and see the second) and one prequel (Skip!); 2) The film caused many viewers to get ill and upset (Man, I wish I could’ve seen that!), and 3)Unfortunately, Linda Blair was typecast. Have you seen her in anything non-horror-related?
